Horezu pottery is a traditional type of Romanian produced by hand in the town of the same name. This craft had been passed down from generation to generation and has been inscribed on the Unesco’s list of Intangible Cultural Heritage.

To this day, each piece is shaped on the wheel with a comb and the decorative elements are applied with a goose quill, a hollowed-out bull's horn and fine wire-tipped stick, with a technique known as jirăvirea. The objects are then fired again in a wood-burning stove.
